Thanks to the focus on business clients dealing abroad, the Citfin offers its clients sophisticated services that present maximal efficiency in this field. The Citfin strategy is to bring value added services, personal care and helpfulness, which clients at the other banking institutions are missing. This is also why more than 3,000 clients regularly take advantage of these services. In 2010 over 67 thousand transactions were processed in the field of foreign payments. In the frame of foreign currency exchanges, the volume of clients' exchange transactions exceeded 32 billion CZK.

Memberships in organizations, associations, and payment systems

• ADET - Citfin is a founding member of the Association for foreign currency markets, the professional association of leading non-banking traders of foreign currency in the Czech Republic.

• CERTIS - Citfin is a participant in the Czech National Bank international system of payments with assigned bank code 2060.

• MasterCard - Citfin is a member of the international card association, MasterCard. Direct membership at the level of Principal Membership allows Citfin to issue own debit cards.

• SWIFT - membership in the SWIFT global communication network of financial institutions allows Citfin to execute all types of international payment transactions quickly and effectively.

History of the Citfin group

Citfin - Financial markets has been present on the market since 1998 under the name CITCO - Financial markets and has become one of the most significant non-banking traders of foreign currencies in the C.R. Clients' interest in a wider assortment of financial services with our traditional values has led to the decision to also add a savings cooperative to our group, thanks to which we are able to offer clients complex banking services. From 2010, the group offers all financial services under the new, common Citfin name.

04/1998   acquisition of the CNB foreign currency licence for executing trades with foreign currency values.
06/2004   acquisition of the CNB foreign currency licence for executing forward transactions with foreign currency values.
06/2005   SWIFT membership, global communication network of financial institutions
07/2008   entry of the company into the savings cooperative
02/2009   membership in CERTIS, system for invoicing CNB interbank payments
05/2009   registration of the Citfin trademark at the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva.
